Garami: A playful tool is a creative tool.
What a great week was last week. Full of inspiration, meeting great artists and creations! One of these was the brand Garami and behind it the two creative brains. So, I had the privilege to dive into a collaborative play with the GARAMI. This unique object was created and designed by Alexia Rincé photographer and Alice Renaud designer who met on the Tatami while practicing Aikido. The object is a wooden “stage”, a minimalistic arena where you can combat your creativity with objects. The colored screens that come with the package will help you to build different layers, support your 2D objects and caress your retina. The screens come in three different colors: red, green or blue.
So what happened during our photo/play session?
I thought I was able to think outside the conventional surfaces until I met the magic. Everything seemed simple, the tool, my pieces, the three colors of screens. I could even imagine in my head what might happen, what I could create.
Well, I turned out to be wrong and the process lit up some new areas in my brain. Garami certainly gave me the flexibility to create in multiple dimensions. It even made me realize how my pieces can transform in collaboration and in a new context. So the pieces transformed into new collages, as single words can become new sentences with different emotions and interactions. There will certainly be new ideas coming in the following months as I am very much inspired by the collaboration with Garami.
A big thanks to Garami team for the opportunity and for the beautiful object. Check Garami via their website.
